How we use cookies

Our website uses cookies to distinguish you from other users of our website. This helps us to provide you with a good experience when you browse our website and also allows us to improve our site.

A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers that we store on your browser or the hard drive of your computer if you agree. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer’s hard drive.

We use the following cookies:

  • Strictly necessary cookies. These are cookies that are required for the operation of our website. These essential cookies are always enabled because our website won’t work properly without them. They include, for example, cookies that enable you to log into secure areas of our website, use a shopping cart or make use of e-billing services. You can switch off these cookies in your browser settings but you may then not be able to access all or parts of our website.
  • Analytical or performance cookies. These allow us to recognise and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around our website when they are using it. This helps us to improve the way our website works, for example, by ensuring that users are finding what they are looking for easily.

You can find more information about the individual cookies we use and the purposes for which we use them below:

Google Analytics 4 cookies

Cookie name: _ga

Cookie purpose and duration: The main cookie used by Google Analytics 4, ‘_ga’ enables a service to distinguish one visitor from another (without any identifying information) and lasts for 2 years. Any site that implements Google Analytics, including Google services, uses the ‘_ga’ cookie. Each ‘_ga’ cookie is unique to the specific property, so it cannot be used to track a given user or browser across unrelated websites.

For more info see: https://policies.google.com/technologies/cookies?hl=en-US

Cookie name: _ga_<container-id>

Cookie purpose and duration: The other cookie used by Google Analytics 4, ‘_ga_<container-id>’, is used to identify and track an individual user session with your device. The lifespan of the cookie is 1 minute and the default expiration time is 2 years.

Why we use Google Analytics 4 cookies

These cookies enable us to estimate our audience size, understand how our website is used, and understand where our website traffic is coming from (e.g., from LinkedIn post clicks).

HubSpot cookies

HubSpot is the system we use to manage enquiries. Its analytics cookies let us link a visit to an enquiry or download request you send us, so we can see which pages and campaigns bring people to us.

  • hubspotutk — keeps track of a visitor’s identity, and is passed to HubSpot when you submit a form on this site. Expires after six months.
  • __hstc — the main HubSpot tracking cookie: the time of your first, last and current visit, and a session count. Expires after six months.
  • __hssc — tracks the current session. Expires after 30 minutes.
  • __hssrc — shows whether you have restarted your browser. Deleted when your browser session ends.

Biscred cookies

On our Real Assets Process Atlas page, we use Biscred, a visitor-identification service from Bisnow. It matches your visit to a business profile, so we know which companies our campaigns reach. It is loaded only on that page; if you go on to other pages without reloading, it stays loaded until your next full page load, but does not record those pages.

  • _bcpfuid — identifies your browser to Biscred. A first-party cookie, also kept in your browser’s local storage. Expires after 360 days.
  • _bcpfref — the address of the site that referred you, if any. Also kept in local storage. Expires after 15 days.
  • _bcpfloaded — stops the tag running twice on one page. Expires after one second.

Vercel Web Analytics

We also count page views with Vercel Web Analytics, from Vercel, who host this website. It sets no cookies and does not identify you, so it runs whatever you choose below.

Managing your choice

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask before setting any of the Google Analytics, HubSpot or Biscred cookies, and set none of them unless you accept. Elsewhere they are set when you arrive.

Wherever you are, you can change your choice at any time with “Cookie choices” at the foot of every page. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a decline and set none of them.

If you decline after having accepted, we delete the Google Analytics, HubSpot and Biscred cookies listed above, along with Biscred’s local storage. You can also remove any cookie at any time in your browser settings.

We remember your choice in a strictly necessary cookie, fd_consent, which holds only “granted” or “denied” and expires after one year.

Note

Information collected by these cookies is shared only with the providers named above — Google, HubSpot and Biscred — who process it to provide their services to us.

If your browser is set to block all cookies (including essential cookies) you may not be able to access all or parts of our website.

If you have any questions or concerns about our use of cookies, please send us an email at info@fifthdimensionai.com.
