Academic AI tool Paperpal’s “Trim" feature enables users to set a target word count, and the AI will adjust the text to meet this requirement. However, this requires you to supply the content you want trimmed down, and it can only paraphrase, rather than writing fresh content to the specified length.
Similarly AI Plagiarism and Fact Checker tool Originality has a character counter feature that rewrites content to your target limit - but again, you need to supply the content, and our tests showed it to be fairly inaccurate.
